Ms. Coleman is an associate researcher at Spark Policy Institute. Her background and passion lies at the intersection of public health and health policy, and she brings over five years of experience in qualitative research, project management, policy analysis and community engagement. At Spark, Michele provides leadership to research activities, as well as qualitative and evaluation research support.
Michele considers herself a “triple Badger,” having earned all three of her degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her bachelor’s degree in Community and Nonprofit Leadership and dual master’s degrees in Public Health and Public Affairs have set her up for a career in serving the public, specifically in improving health disparities. Michele has worked to advance women’s health both internationally and domestically through community-based research and program evaluation. Most recently she worked in state public health on health system reform and as a health policy analyst at an advocacy organization.
In her free time, Michele enjoys painting, biking, volunteering at the Denver Zoo, exploring Colorado’s mountains with her boyfriend, and playing with her new puppy, Bucky.
