Many social and environment challenges at the local and state level cannot be solved without changes in public policy. Opportunities to improve policies include everything from laws passed by our elected officials, regulations designed to help implement laws, practices that are old habits or purposeful choices, and the unintended consequences of any of these, creating challenges that no one could have predicted.
